The IDF says it uncovered and destroyed two Hezbollah tunnels in the Qantara area of southern Lebanon—stretching roughly two kilometers, plunging 25 meters deep, and built over a decade.
The tunnels were meant to be used as a staging area for when Hezbollah terrorists would gather, arm themselves, and prepare for an invasion of northern Israel, similar to the October 7 attack by Hamas in the south of the country.
The tunnel network was complete with beds, water tanks, equipment, and large amounts of weapons intended for a prolonged stay.
