Unlike most films about October 7th that focus on the horrors of that day, Just Tell Me You’re Alive tells the deeply personal stories of seven families whose lives were forever changed, and the extraordinary ways they chose to move forward.

Some are grieving unimaginable loss. Others are embracing loved ones who returned home against all odds. Together, their journeys reveal the Jewish response to tragedy: resilience over despair, rebuilding over surrender, and light over darkness.

Through intimate, deeply human stories, viewers witness families creating new beginnings and ensuring that even the deepest pain gives rise to purpose, faith, and life.

Just Tell Me You’re Alive is not a film about October 7th. It’s a film about choosing life.

Produced by Moral Edge. Directed by Zach Zorba Grashin. The film will be released on July 22, 2026 (Tisha B’Av 5786).

  1. Sadly, too many, who are still saying this didn’t happen or it was Israel’s fault the truth just doesn’t seem to get through. Makes me so sad for your loss and you’re double loss.

  2. May you continue to produce meaningful films. This one looks like it should be required viewing. Thank you.

I appreciate the approach taken and look forward to watching the full movie. A degree of irony in the debut being Tisha B’Av.

I wasn’t going to watch even the trailer because I was too afraid. Afraid of seeing their horror, sadness and fear. But I had to watch because I have to see their horror, sadness and fear as a mitzvah. H-SHEM WANTS ME AND EVERYONE TO SEE so we can all stop and teach the world about the rage against the Jews!

    1. Whst you wrote was do true to l heart

Yes it is hard to watch but important that ZGzD forbid this should occur again.

  5. As I said before, I was so afraid to watch the trailer. I pressed play and as soon as I saw the bloodied girls/women I turned it off. But I couldn’t just be afraid to look, what would that say about my earnest feelings for all of the victims. I felt it a mitzvah before G-D to open my eyes. It was so horrifying for them and their families that what would I be not to have watched?!

    1. I had the same yesterday – check and ensure your cell phone number reflects the international code ie:+27 83…….

  7. Evil can only triumph if the good do not intervene! And every person is guilty of the good they failed to do!

As a Cop Doc who understands the imprint of complex trauma and the residual impact that can never be reversed, erased or forgotten the distortion of blaming the victims/survivors is one of my lifelong objectives including Centurioncide. The disrespect and infliction to us as indigenous Jews of Israel in Eretz Yisrael and in diaspora. There are many who have bought into self loathing and disowning their heritage as Jews and supporters who are righteous gentiles. As a diaspora Jew my efforts are redoubled as a psych doctor, professor and author. No apologies to antisemitic politicians who enflame antisemitism through the ancient guise of anti Israel (anti Zionism) rather than seek healing and calling terrorism human evil. If one doesn’t understand rape, murder and kidnapping is not the universally recognized evil by making parallels with occupation by Hamas against Indigenous people of Israel 🇮🇱 than we as American Jews must stand tall with all Victims of October 7, 2023. Innocent Jews were targeted by terrorists. Resilience is a lifelong journey learnt and embraced existentially in one’s own unique ecological Ethological niche of trauma. Sharing your indefatigable soulful journey is a priceless gift of courage to be! Thank you and I am honored to be invited to view. Am Yisrael Chai is not negotiable and iyH all of you are the Tikun Olem B’H’

  9. The world will always hate Israel because Israel is a nation chosen by God. The world without God has no moral compass. By hating Israel, they hate the God who chose Israel as His people. We pray for strength and resilience for Israel.

  10. Une page d’histoire aussi atroce que glorieuse grâce à tous ces êtres d’exception qui ont bravé l’horreur pour sauver des vies ! Am Israël Chai !!

  11. The tremendous strength and fortitude shown by those that suffered and endured the atrocities and aftermath of 10/7 is beyond anything that one would have thought they’d need in this lifetime. To all those that have passed …..

  12. Such an important film to be made after such a tragic event. To choose life over death and in this way honour those who have passed beyond the veil also shows that violence and evil will never win over over morality and commitment to always follow the path of peace and righteousness.

  13. Thank you for making and sharing this film. Such a film is so important to show the moral courage and truth of people, who despite such tragedy have chosen to choose life rather than death and in doing so honour those who have passed beyond the veil, never to be forgotten, but seen as heroes in the struggle to remain true to their beliefs in a life of truth, morality and commitment to others. The fight for justice goes on, but integrity and morality remains the very foundation of all of us who believe in freedom and safety for all.
