Iran and Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel on Monday, setting off widespread air-raid sirens across the country’s north and triggering emergency responses in the Haifa and Carmel regions.

Fire broke out at the Haifa oil refineries after a direct hit, Kan News reported. Rocket alerts were activated as far south as Netanya and Herzliya.

Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah said their teams found no physical casualties at any of the impact sites, though five people were treated for anxiety—two in Shfaram and three in Haifa. Paramedics continued to survey additional areas after reports of further strikes.

Israel’s Ministry of Health reported on Monday that 6,008 casualties have been evacuated to hospitals since the start of “Operation Roaring Lion” on Feb. 28, with 121 people currently hospitalized.

Of those, one is in critical condition, 16 in serious condition, 30 in satisfactory condition and 73 in good condition. One person is being treated for anxiety.

In the preceding 24 hours, 232 wounded were admitted—two in serious condition, eight in satisfactory condition, 215 with light wounds and seven treated for anxiety.

Health Minister Haim Katz and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich met on Monday with senior Health Ministry officials to review the medical system’s wartime footing and budget needs during “Roaring Lion.”

Officials presented the ministers with current hospital capacity, community health preparedness, and projected funding shortfalls.

Katz called for “a focus on real needs and a reexamination of priorities” to sustain long-term care quality. Smotrich praised healthcare workers, saying the system provides “breathing space” for wartime decision-making.

Health Ministry Director General Moshe Bar Siman Tov said the system has operated under continuous load and at high readiness since the operation began and warned that additional resources are needed to maintain services across the country.
