Following capture of Venezuela’s president, Pakistan’s defense chief says US or Turkey should “abduct” Israel’s prime minister, claiming International Criminal Court warrant justifies capturing Netanyahu.

Pakistan’s defense chief has called on the United States and Turkey to “abduct” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, comparing the Israeli premier to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
On Thursday, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said in an interview with Geo that Netanyahu should be kidnapped and put on trial in connection with the war in the Gaza Strip.
Asif argued that the International Criminal Court arrest warrant issued in November 2024 for the Israeli premier enabled the US or Turkey to carry out an arrest operation to “abduct” Netanyahu, comparing it to the capture of Maduro.
“Turkey may abduct Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, and we Pakistanis are praying for it,” Asif said.
“The Palestinians have been made to suffer more than almost any other people,” Asif continued.
“No community has done what Israel has done to Palestinians in the last 4,000 – 5,000 years. He is the biggest criminal of humanity. The world has not seen a bigger criminal.”
“Netanyahu should be the biggest wanted criminal now. The US should kidnap him and start proceedings in one of its courts, if it is a friend of humanity.”
Asif went on to criticize Israel’s supporters, before being cut off by anchor Hamid Mir.
“And what does the law say about those who support such criminals,” Asif said before Mir interrupted him, warning that his comments could be interpreted as a criticism of President Donald Trump.
Mir called for a commercial break and added that in light of Asif’s comments, the interview would not continue after the program resumed.
Israel and Pakistan have never established formal diplomatic relations, and Islamabad does not recognize the State of Israel.
